Another earthquake came; the man looked at the direction where the blasts that happen before came from. However, there was no blast. He believed it was not after-shock. Making sure his crew kept attacking, he pondered what had caused this earthquake. Ancilla was noisy on the comms before he shut her up, but his mother was quiet. His mind made the leap that she caused it and she was up to something no good. Almost making him leaving to hunt her down, it would have been a good time to harm her among the chaos.

Angelo would have, but more ships arrived for him. They allowed the mercs to unload before taking the injured back to bacta tanks on the ships. Timing for that was on his side, the forces from the other bases were marching towards them. So his train of thought had to shift from attacking his mother to dealing with more soldiers. There were decisions that had to be made. One popped up as a choice because most tanks in the base they had been attacking were handled. This would allow them to advance in to add a little more defense to the approaching army; however, they still had a small army in the base to deal with.

Something had to be done and it had to be quick. Angelo ordered all the Bando Gora to place their vests on timers and hold their ground. The rest pulled back. Some took crates but the rest kept firing at the forces to assist until out of range. They just moved down the large street. With quick thinking, Angelo had is people use the rest of the rockets on a building. Taking out majority of the building’s lower floors, it fell over like a tree being chopped down with an axe. In the debris cloud, they rushed into the building to use as defense and set up for the big fight.

Reaching the first floor since she cleared it, Ancilla was shocked. There were many reasons for the feeling. The largest, the major had to be the appearance of her deity. The physical, living representation of beauty and perfection was now the perfect icon for the angel of death. It would be in her mind forever as what death would look like when it final came for her. She moved passed Petra to guard the floor until the ritual was completed. A full time job for sure now, because of the glowing veins coming from the building and drawing attention to them.

Final moments were approaching. The ground was being crystalized and began to randomly sticking out of the veins and glowed purple. Mist formed from the built up of the force being manifested in the ritual. The last thrust of ichor into the ground caused the planet to shake while the veins were leaving the building in all directions. The corruption of the land was surging from the building as it was focal point now. The crystals were infused with Petra’s dark will as they reflected a purple glow. Purple was represented her as black ichor was the dark side of the force and green was Dathomir’s energy when there.

The energy in the ground sprung upwards. Instead of a blast of light when brought upwards, a clear’ish rippling wall of light purple rushed outwards in all directions. It covered the world in a fine haze. The air was full of the mist while inhabitants looked around confused to what was going on. As the mist from high in the atmosphere came down to the ground; that was when inhabitants felt and saw what was intended. The mist coming down added to what was there and made a thick fog which lasted for a minutes before being absorbed into the ground. The moment was enough for everyone to see a purple glow in the veins close to the surface of their skin and their eyes before collapsing to the ground.

The ground shaking even more was ruining his plans. It slowed the marching forces towards him which had suicide bombers on timers. They were going off slightly before the front lines reached them. Mostly the oncoming force held their places with the ground shaking as much as it was. His men were holding on to things to get on their feet. Angelo focused on another plan and did not know what was coming his way.

The light mist washed over and then grew thicker like a fog. He tried checking on his crew, but each one was showing the same signs as the last. His mind leapt to the idea he was not going through it like his people were because of Petra’s blood flowing through him. It ticked him yet again about what his mother had been doing. When the fog cleared, he found a transport ship and left the surface. He did not want to stick around to see the mess Petra created. Another plan was forming and he wanted it to end his mother for good.

On his ship, Aprilis, he got a few loyal crew members and they boarded a smuggler ship that was in the hanger. Taking off, he was leaving to find allies to assist him in his quest of killing his mother.

All of what she witness was mind blowing to her. Ancilla had seen her goddess do many things to people. Even saw some rituals in her time. However, this was all so grand for her. Petra’s appearance was over shadowed by the collapse of everyone but her. She did not know that her blood was Cavataio and it prevented the same results. It was more believed that she was an Optivus Res and that ritual protected her.

After everyone had fallen, silence was all there was. It was easy to hear then see a ship head up into space. Ancilla made a note of it and believed it was safe to make the jump and guess it was Angelo leaving. She went in to tell Petra what she saw.

In the building, Petra stopped for the time with her chanting and entered the circle she had made. Taking a knee near the center of the circle, she placed her right hand on the center. New chant started as she focused on the force and the ground. “I am the way, I am the light, I am the darkness. All in me as one, all through me, all are mine… One with the world, one with the life, one with the force… I bind all to my will and control. I give purpose and existence to this world and the lives on it now.”

As she chanted those words, her hand slowly rose from the ground. A glow appeared then point of a crystal showed up under her hand. It moved upwards from the ground at the pace of Petra’s hand was being raised. The veins on the floor, walls, and ones outside that the first round of chanting made were pulsing again but more like running lights that were heading towards the circle that Petra was in.

Focusing on the crystal emerging from the ground, it moved upwards by the chanting and her hand. She shifted from her knee to rise up. It made it easier to bring the crystal from the ground and have it floating under her hand about chest high. The veins were pulsing insanely fast like a strobe light. With the crystal fully created and glowing brightly, whispers began to say to sway minds to follow and worship Petra. The dark voices were created to speak all that set foot on the world.

Petra’s hand above the crystal remained over the glowing stone while her other gesture for the ground under it to rise up. Manipulating the earth, it rose up to grab and hold the crystal like a pedestal. The glowing veins snaked up the earthly pedestal and linked themselves to the crystal. She chanted and cast the last spell to the planet and crystal. Like she said before now about purpose and existence to the world and life, she bound it all to the crystal. Corruption and dark energy of the force made the feel in the force like a world of pure ancient evil like Zoist and Korriban offered.

Leaning in, Petra lightly blew onto the crystal that caused it to glow more intensely and stop the pulsing from the veins. They remain lite up. As stability formed, the inhabitants slowly showed movement. Some got to their feet faster than others, but they all got up with new purpose in mind.

With Ancilla coming to Petra, she got an update from her Optivus Res of what was witness when everyone was knocked out for the time being. The skeletor looking witch told Ancilla what she wanted for the time being. When Ancilla left to obey the orders that were given, Petra walked out of the building to restore herself to appearance of her liking.

More orders to follow, it was her life and it was better than many from what she seen Petra do. Ancilla found a ship and took up to Aprilis. On the large ship, the officer was made captain over the ship. She even had the other captain on comms to hear the orders she told to deliver. She told the Aprilis to gather supplies, crew, and hardware from Venus; then head back to their post at End to assist their needs as their deal stated.

After dealing with the captains, Ancilla went to the citadel. It was the new home for all Optivus Res and capital of system. Bogden was suited for the Bando Gora since they were corrupted under Petra’s will and Citadel could be used for visitors and non Bando Gora. It would prevent those from being taken over by the ritual that had been placed over Bogden. For Ancilla, she had a lot of rebuilding and strengthening a group to be her deity’s private army.

Death and decay was how the old witch appeared after bonding the world and life to a life-force nexus glowing in front of her. As others might have drained all life and force from the world, Petra twisted the ritual to form the nexus and safety net to ensure her corruption ruled. She knew inhabitants were coming to the nexus. Her appearance needed to be restored since at the moment the Crypt Keeper had more sex appeal than her. It was a side effect to pouring herself into rituals and force powers. The focus was taken from maintaining her appears to the ritual at hand.

Outside of the building, the people in the streets that were getting up were going to be used for sacrificing. She hated her true appearance. It reminded her of death and she had done everything to prevent it so far. To restore her appearance to one that her worshipers knew, the spell and alchemy required a surged of life and force energy at once instead of over time.

Using the influence that had taken their minds, whispers told them to walk over to the glowing vein. Moving to the same vein, Petra knelt down and placed her old decay hands on the crystalized vein. The force began to be focused around her. Then summoning up the force to do her will; she used the vein as her channeling tube. Launching the force through it made it easier for her to achieve what she desired, leeching onto those on and next to the vein. She grabbed their life and force energies. As the veins were designed to do with the entire planet, she was using one for her feeding.

Siphoning off the first group that s, she did not want to waste every precious piece of energy she could get from the force and life of the people. The focus deepened to atomic levels. Even the electrons and protons energy was being drawn out but the witch. Their stance grew heavier and heavier with their spirit being taken. It matter not for flesh or clothes, all were the targets to Petra’s desire. Flesh decoyed like the clothes on their backs.

The more she took, the less decayed parts of her appeared. Watching, Petra smiled to witness sacrifice of her worshipers were turned into nothing as they were in her eyes anyways. Dust they became as all forms of energies was drained from them. They were memories to any that knew them. To Petra, they were fuel or food for her needs. Petra finished what was left to absorb, and she stood up as her younger appearance took hold again.

The death and decay that she was really had been hidden again under the energies she absorbed. Alchemy and spells were working to hold her younger looks as she was vein about it all. She could have waited and let the powers take their hold and react to the alchemy; however, she was impatient about it and that is why people were used. Turning to the large crystal, the extra energy absorbed was channeled into it to help strengthen the corruption of the world.
